ASUS Seashell 1005, 160 GB HD, 2 MB RAM, Windows 7 Starter. Had a trouble when I first got it and ASUS tech support divided it into 2 80 GB partitions. Why?

Now C: shows 80 GB and D: shows forty GB??? All I want is to get my old 160 GB Hd dorsum.

what i understand is now you have 3 partitions in your PC .C>80gbD>40gbE>40gbtry these simple steps .--first brand certain yous back up all your important information on the computer to an external media .and brand sure at that place is cypher of import on your D and E drives .now click First > right click on my computer > click manage .in the window that opens , click on Disk Management in the left pane .wait for it to start .in the adjacent window that opens , click on the E sectionalization and and so click Delete Book. it would at present show you 40 gb unallocated space .aforementioned mode do it for D .now you accept 80 gb unallocated infinite .at present right click on C partition and then click on extend volume .enter the entire 80 gb to it and click Ok. permit it complete .if all goes well ( it volition ..) , you will take one consummate 160 gb partition once more .hope it helps ..tell if more than help needed ....
